Aleksandra Kingo is a photographer and director who is well known for her playful, quirky style realised with use of bold colours and wit.

Aleksandra walks the razor’s edge between discomfort and sexiness, toying with viewer’s senses of disgust and attraction and creating surreal worlds where lipstick stains are a blessing and bananas are pastel pink. Aleksandra gains a lot of inspiration from everyday life stories as well as popular culture and memes.

Born in London, Ben Eine is one of the most successful street artists in the world and is regarded as a pioneer in the exploration of graffiti letterforms. Originally a writer, Eine started his career over 25 years ago, leaving his first tag all over London before developing his distinct typographic style. Eine’s aim was to point out that street art is distinct from graffiti. He believed “street artists want to add something to the environment. They consider the audience, whereas graffiti writers don’t care about anyone except themselves, they do it purely for the kick”. Eine’s bright and colourful letters were created to stand out from the usual tags and dubs seen on the streets and can still be found in areas of East London. Eine first came to prominence in the “commercial” graffiti scene through his symbiotic partnership with London graffiti artist Banksy. In 2010 the UK Prime Minister David Cameron gifted his artwork to President Obama, while a particular area of the East End was named ‘Alphabet City’ after his colourful array of shopfront ‘shutter art’. Currently Ben Eine’s work is held in the permanent collections of the V&A, London, The Museum of Modern Art, Los Angeles and galleries worldwide, while his street art works can be seen all over the world, most recently he completed a huge mural on the British Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

Caroline Chi-Chi Chinakwe is a multidisciplinary artist, stylist and designer. Let Go Of Your Past is a mixed media, digital art, collage piece that combines fashion styling, photography, fine art and collage. It is the most significant piece from her first art collection entitled The Recipe for Life. Each piece in the collection represents her journey and philosophy when it comes to creating the perfect life. The bees and butterflies that can be seen in most of her work symbolise the natural beauty all around us.

Caroline Chi-Chi Chinakwe is creative director of her own lifestyle label CHINAKWE, which will be launching in spring/summer 2019.

Kelly Anna is a multimedia designer known for her signature bold & confident figurative works. Throughout her body of works there is a strong theme of female empowerment and powerful slogans. Her sensibility in colour and form sets her apart and enables her to address themes including fitness & self-care, shifting cultural norms, beauty standards and with authenticity.

Kirsten is a graduate of Central St Martins College of Art and Design in Fine Jewellery Design and Manufacture, and a Goldsmiths Bursary award winner.

Kirsten’s work often crosses between areas such as illustration, printmaking, painting and jewellery. Her work is continuously changing medium and scale playing with watercolour, lino and drypoint. Her work is drawn towards themes like humour, playing on words, repetition and colour. Her main inspiration for her work is being able to tell a story and entertain
others.

More recently she has had her illustrations published in children’s books and has sold her prints to International buyers through the Gallery at Parndon Mill where she has a studio, local and national exhibitions, and through private commissions.

Then one day it gets full and suddenly the vacuum bag bursts and there is dust and debris everywhere. Eventually the dust settles, and with a lot of patience he tidies everything up and organises it into a new creation.

Known for making it rain since his big Gala Bingo win at the age of 19 (£141), Mr Bingo has been getting drunk on trains, sending strangers hate mail and rapping along to the whole thing in the name of art since 1979. When he isn’t being recognised for his brightly coloured shorts around the dodgier areas of Shoreditch, it is for his sharp lines and sharper wit.

Playmetric, aka Colin Bigelow, is an Australian graphic artist and illustrator. Raised by an artist and a chemical engineer Playmetric has always had an interest in conveying technological and scientific themes through his artwork. Inspired by our relationship with technology, a pressing concern in today’s world, and building on ideas from scientific research, these subjects are evident in his collection of illustrations and paintings.

Rob Ryan specialised in Printmaking at the Royal College of Art. His work often includes sentimental, grave, honest and occasionally humorous pieces of writing that he admits are autobiographical. Rob cuts each papercut from the finest paper, with the smallest of scalpels, and his prints display a masterful level of clarity and detail.

No Stepping Stones is a hand-pulled screen print which reads, “No stepping stones for me because I choose to sit on my ladder and feel the icy water flow between my toes and around my ankles. This water is not deep enough to make me feel alive with life and love.”

Ken Howard is a Royal Academician and multi-award winning artist. He has exhibited widely within the UK and internationally and his work is held in numerous public collections. He was elected a Royal Academician in 1991 and awarded an OBE in 2010 and has been a Patron of Create since 2007. The depiction of light is a strong and recurring theme in his work, and the city scene is a prominent source of inspiration, with Venice, Cornwall and London being particular favourites.

Vanessa Sharp is a silversmith and jeweller creating one off pieces that are textured and formed. They often incorporate other materials such as semi-precious stone and found natural objects. This piece was inspired by a monologue written by a Create participant at a creative writing workshop at Deptford Reach. This is a drop in centre that helps people who have been affected by homelessness, mental illness and drug addiction.
